Marine Operation Manager

The Marine Operation Manager will be a full-time position
responsible for the implementation and develop the business strategy for the
Marine Department. Working in tandem with Business Unit Senior Manager and
Business Development team, the successful candidate will contribute towards the
overall profitability of Altus Indonesia.
                                                                 
Main responsibilities:
·         Prepare the
Marine business strategy and present it to the General Manager for approval.
·         Prepare the
Marine budget annually and present it to the General Manager for approval.
·         Supervise
the daily marine operations to support Supply Base and stand alone Marine work.
·         Conduct
internal and external meetings for the purpose of discussing on-going marine
projects or other departmental issues within the Company so goals and
objectives are maintained and develop strategies to improve performance and
reduce costs of Marine operations.
·         In
conjuction with Project Logistics Senior Manager & PL Sales Manager,
support the Logistics’s projects with related to the marine operation ie
chartering vessel, tug&barge, LCT, etc.
·         Organize and
prepare contracts Ship Agency, Chartering, and other cooperation as requested
by the principal.
·         Issue and
update Marine procedures and implement them throughout the branch offices.
·         Liaise with
Marine warranty surveyors’ for certificates of approval (location approvals,
approval of transportations, approval of specific operations)
·         Update the
Marine operation manuals as needed

Qualifications:
* Male
* Maximum age 45 years old
* At least 5 years combined experience in project cargo logistics, vessel chartering/operations, and/or sales and marketing
* Experience in Oil and Gas industry in Indonesia/Southeast Asia preferred.  We will also consider candidates with relevant marine and logistics experience in other energy, mining, industrial and infrastructure sectors.
* Excellent network of relationships in target group of companies in the above sectors.
* Understand basic to complex concepts and procedures in supply chain management, freight forwarding, customs clearance, ship chartering, ship agency, as specifically applied to project cargo logistics in the above sectors.
* Must be an effective, hardworking, and self-motivated
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
* Presentable, personable, and able to help build Altus’s reputation as a company
* Keen business acumen will be an advantage.
* Required skills: Communication, Interpersonal, Negotiation, Presentation, Commercial & Financial.
* Excellent in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
* Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, industrial engineering, or other related fields.
